Dick and Rick Hoyt

The inspirational story of a father and son who participate in marathons and triathlons together. The twist is however that Rick, Dick's son, cannot speak or walk. Dick has a special seat for Rick on his bike, pulls him along behind him in a boat when he swims and pushes Rick along in a special wheelchair when he runs. Dick does all this and finishes each race close to the time it takes for normal able bodied people that aren't towing anybody along with them!! And Dick is still doing it at 65 years of age (2007).

I never cease to be amazed at this clip and the "Team Hoyt" story.

Patrick was born with a disability. He was born without eyes and with a condition that prevented his limbs from ever straightening. He has been able to achieve a great deal. He plays a number of instruments and marches (with the help of his Dad) in his local football team marching band.
