Welcome
to
Dad's Daily Quotes.
I started Dad's Daily Quotes to send a daily
word of encouragement to my children
delivered to their inbox daily. It seemed
that email was the first thought of the day
and I wanted to ensure there was something
inspiring and challenging for them to think
about each day. Since then I have had friends
and relatives subscribe and the list
continues to grow.
if you wish to
receive an encouraging and sometimes
challenging message or story from me, fill
out the form below to join our community. I
send an email out most days except for
Saturday and Sunday (Australian time). As
always your details are only for the Dad's
Daily Quotes messages. Your details are not
shared with any third parties.

Karl has started a wikispace to promote a discussion on the shifts occuring in our world and the impact for students and educators in meeting the needs of the education system in the 21st Century.

Karl also has a web presence on "blogspot" and his comments can be found at "The Fischbowl."
I have put together some quotes over some pictures that I have taken during some of my travels for work. The picture at right is of the Stockholm City Hall in Sweden. This is where the Nobel Laureates, laureate is a person honored for an award for outstanding creative or intellectual achievement, celebrate their recognition with a banquet on the evening of the awards ceremony.
Whilst I make no claims to such grandeur, the notion of the awards is to celebrate achievement. In this life we all should celebrate the achievement of our own life in its own context. We may not ever be recognised in such a public way however as Denis Waitley says;
"you are as good as the best and no better than the rest."
So I hope in being accountable for a purpose greater than yourself you can celebrate your life with the same vigour and pride as those who are honoured annually at the Stockholm City Hall.

This week's artist is the Newsboys. They are an Australian band that have made it fairly big in the United States. This song is called "Something Beautiful." It resonates with me, I guess the tune but also the words especially where it talks about the father giving away his daughter on her wedding day. Something that I look forward to accomplishing with my daughter Laura one day.
"To get them to really think about what our students are going to need to be successful in the 21st century, and then how that might impact what they do in their classrooms."
The presentation "took off" during 2007 with over 5 million views. However, despite this success Karl is only focussed on the outcomes for the next generation of students and how as educators we can help the youth of today realise their goals and heart's desires.
Karl seems very humble regarding his impact. We need more people like him who are here to serve others only and genuinely interested in helping others to be more.
Here is the blog post that features the original "Did You Know" presentation. The You Tube video below shows the current version that has been produced by "XPLANE."
